Who can use BasanuPay?

BasanuPay accounts are currently for individuals and freelancers. You can still invoice under your own work or business name. Business accounts are coming soon.

What can I sell on BasanuPay?

Invoices for your services, plus anything in the store: digital products (e-books, templates, design files), online courses, event tickets and memberships. You also get a payment page where anyone can pay you any amount, and a public store page with your logo and everything you sell.

How do buyers get what they paid for?

Automatically. As soon as the payment is confirmed, the buyer gets an email with a private access link: a download for digital products, the course player for courses, a QR ticket for events, or the member area for memberships. They don't need an account.

Where are my files and videos stored?

You keep them where you already do. Add your files as links from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, and course videos from YouTube (Unlisted). Buyers only see them after paying, and unlisted videos don't show on your channel or in YouTube search.

Can I sell tickets for physical and online events?

Yes. Create ticket types (for example General and VIP) with limited quantities. Each buyer gets a QR ticket, and you check people in by scanning tickets with your phone. For online events, ticket holders get a Join button shortly before the start, and a replay link afterwards if you add one.

Does my customer need a BasanuPay account to pay?

No. Your customer opens the invoice link, reviews it and pays on a secure checkout. They receive a receipt by email.

How do my customers pay?

Customers pay through our payment partner’s secure checkout. Available methods depend on the invoice currency and the customer’s location, and can include card and bank transfer. Customers abroad can pay a dollar invoice from anywhere.

Why do I need to verify my identity?

Verification protects you and your customers and is required before you can send invoices, receive payments or request payouts. You only do it once, with a government ID and a quick selfie.

Will customers see my legal name?

Not unless you choose to. You can set a display or work name, such as “John Designs”, that appears on invoices. Your legal name stays with verification and compliance records.

When is an invoice marked as paid?

Only after the payment provider confirms the payment to our servers and we check the amount, currency and invoice. Returning from the checkout page alone does not mark an invoice paid.

What is the difference between pending and available balance?

New payments go to your pending balance. After a short holding period they move to your available balance, which you can request as a payout.

How do payouts work?

Payouts are paid in Naira to your Nigerian bank account. Add your account, wait for it to be verified, then request a payout from your available balance. If your balance is in dollars, you see the exact Naira amount you will receive, at that day’s payout rate, before you confirm. Our finance team reviews the request and sends the funds, and you are notified at each step.

What fees does BasanuPay charge?

Any fees and the payout rate are shown before you confirm a payout, so you always see exactly what you will receive.

Can I edit an invoice after sending it?

Yes, until a payment has been made against it. You can also cancel an unpaid invoice, which disables its payment link.

Is BasanuPay a bank?

No. BasanuPay is an invoicing, selling and payment collection platform operated by Basanu Global Solutions Ltd. Payments are processed by our licensed payment partner, and your platform balance is a record of funds collected for you, not a bank deposit.
