BasanuPay is operated by Basanu Global Solutions Ltd, which is the data controller for personal information processed through the platform.
2. Information we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone, country and account type.
- Verification information: identity or business information collected by our verification partner to meet legal and partner requirements.
- Business profile: the display name, logo and contact details you choose to show on invoices.
- Invoice and customer data you enter, such as customer names, emails and invoice items.
- Payment and payout records, including amounts, references and bank account details for payouts.
- Technical data such as IP address, device and browser information, used for security.
3. How we use it
To provide the service, verify identities, process and record payments and payouts, prevent fraud, send service emails, provide support, and meet legal obligations.
4. What customers see
Customers see the display name, logo and contact details you choose for invoices. We do not show your legal name, home address, state or country on customer-facing invoices unless you choose to include them.
5. Sharing
We share information only as needed with our payment partner, verification partner, email delivery and live chat providers, professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires. We do not sell personal information.
6. Retention
We keep financial and verification records for as long as the law requires, and other information for as long as your account is open or as needed to resolve disputes.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your information, and to object or complain to a data protection authority, including the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Contact us to make a request.
