The gap

Your clients pay in dollars.
Your bank speaks Naira.

Getting paid by a client abroad usually means asking them to open a new app, waiting on a friend's account, or losing money to bad rates. Clients don't trust a bank-transfer screenshot, and you can't send them a professional bill.

BasanuPay gives you a professional invoice, a checkout your client already trusts, and a payout to your own Nigerian bank.

Before

  • Screenshots of bank details in a DM
  • Clients without a way to pay you
  • Money stuck with middlemen
  • No receipts, no records

With BasanuPay

  • A branded invoice and secure payment link
  • Card payment from any country
  • Payout to your Nigerian bank in Naira
  • Receipts, records and a full payment history

One account. Many ways to get paid.

Bill a client, sell a template, fill a workshop or run a paid community. Every payment lands in the same balance and is paid out to your bank.

Trust & protection

Protection for sellers and buyers, built in.

Payment partners and card networks watch every platform closely. These checks keep BasanuPay open for honest sellers, and give buyers a reason to pay with confidence.

Verified sellers

Every seller verifies their identity before they can invoice or get paid, and invoices carry their verified or registered business name.

Verified payments

A payment only counts when the provider confirms it to our servers. A browser redirect is never treated as proof.

Proof of delivery

Sellers upload proof that they delivered the work. Money is released after the holding period once the proof is in.

Delivery confirmation

Buyers are asked whether they received their order. A problem goes to our team, not straight to a chargeback.

Report an invoice

Anyone can report a suspicious invoice from the invoice page. Serious reports pause it immediately while we review.

Fair refunds and disputes

Clear refund and cancellation policies, early dispute alerts to sellers, and only the disputed amount is held.

How a payment moves through BasanuPay

Your balance only changes after the payment provider confirms the money to our servers. A browser redirect is never treated as proof of payment.

FAQs

Questions sellers ask us

Can't find your answer? See all FAQs, email hello@basanupay.com or use live chat.

Does my customer need a BasanuPay account to pay?

No. Your customer opens the invoice link, reviews it and pays on a secure checkout. They receive a receipt by email.

How do my customers pay?

Customers pay through our payment partner’s secure checkout. Available methods depend on the invoice currency and the customer’s location, and can include card and bank transfer. Customers abroad can pay a dollar invoice from anywhere.

What name appears on my invoices?

Your verified name, or your registered business or trading name. Customers must know who they are paying, so you can’t invoice under another person’s or company’s name. Once set, your name, business name, username and contact details can only be changed through a request that our team approves.

Why do I need to upload proof of delivery?

After a customer pays an invoice, you upload proof that you delivered the work: the files, the email you sent them with, or the customer’s approval. The money is released once the proof is in and the holding period has passed. It protects you if the customer ever disputes the payment, and keeps BasanuPay open for honest sellers.

What happens if a customer disputes a payment?

We alert you straight away, and only the disputed amount (plus the $15 dispute fee) is held. Send us your proof of delivery and we respond to the bank for you. If the dispute is won, the money comes back to your balance. Two disputes within 90 days pause payouts until our team reviews the account.

What is the difference between pending and available balance?

New payments go to your pending balance. After the holding period (7 days, or 10 days for new accounts) and once your proof of delivery is in, they move to your available balance, which you can request as a payout.

How do payouts work?

Payouts are paid in Naira to your Nigerian bank account. Add your account, wait for it to be verified, then request a payout from your available balance. If your balance is in dollars, you see the exact Naira amount you will receive, at that day’s payout rate, before you confirm. Our finance team reviews the request and sends the funds, and you are notified at each step.
